Provia Labs Hires Vice President of International Business Development to Expand Global Distribution

Provia Labs Hires Vice President of International Business Development to Expand Global Distribution for its Stem Cell Banking Service and Biobanking Products.

LEXINGTON, MA (PRWEB) DECEMBER 07, 2012 Provia Laboratories, LLC announces the addition of Bruce Meckling to its senior executive team. As Vice President of International Business Development, Mr. Meckling brings over two decades of global experience in various leadership roles, including business-to-business and consumer marketing, sales management, strategic business development and general management experience in the dental care and eye care industries.

Mr. Meckling will be responsible for expanding international distribution of Provia’s various business lines, including its premiere dental stem cell banking service, Store-A-Tooth™, and the Proviasette™, its next-generation biospecimen storage container for frozen tissue biobanking. Store-A-Tooth gives families the chance to bank their own stem cells – from teeth that would otherwise be discarded when they fall out or are extracted. “At Provia Labs, our vision is that stem cell science will revolutionize how healthcare is delivered. Our role is to help families access a world where regenerative medicine is extending high quality life by decades,” said Mr. Meckling upon joining the company. “This is a future where everyone has a personalized ‘tool kit’ of stem cells for use in treating disease, injury and even the aging process itself.” In addition to working with partners to expand access to dental stem cell banking in global markets, last month the company announced an agreement brokered by Mr. Meckling with Dubai-based ProScan Middle East FZE to expand distribution of the Proviasette to hospitals, laboratories, research universities, tissue banking companies and pharmaceutical companies throughout the Gulf Region and elsewhere in the Middle East. Prior to joining Provia Labs, Bruce Meckling served as VP International at Optiva Corporation, makers of the Sonicare electric toothbrush, now the oral care division of Royal Philips Electronics. There, he played an important role in educating dentists and patients globally about the importance of preventive dentistry and the role that good brushing habits and professional dental care play in ensuring healthy teeth and gums. As General Manager of Distributor Operations for EMEA of Bausch & Lomb Inc, the global eye care company, he supported the launch of innovative new products, and helped to bring Bausch & Lomb products and services to eye care professionals and consumers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Meckling lived and worked in Europe for a decade, and has specialized in the international development of marketing and sales channels for professionally recommended healthcare products and services, working with dental and eye-care professionals in over 80 countries worldwide.
